Hi,
I think Lucas here is right that we should add some banner in flex main page to warn about the existence of Apache Royale. Are you ok with that? Also I think Nicolas was updating this site, in case we agree, hope he could add it? I think I can handle update on website. Depends how complex would be, but I
was looking into the sources couple of times. I agree that the website should be updated ...
I absolutely don't agree it should be automatically forwarded. Flex is a non-retired project and therefore requires a project website. If we were to decide to retire Flex, then of course a redirect would make sense. Hi Piotr,
I'm referring to the title of the email "Apache flex site must redirect to Apache Royale " ... For me a redirect is forwarding ... It sort of initially felt like I missed the initial email ... till I came to the Royale mailing-list ;-) So it seems he did mean just a banner and the user actively clicks on something, then I agree. Hi Chris,
Agree with you. I think it should be only informative banner nothing more. Maybe clickable at some point. Yeah, I responded Lucas that Apache Flex was still an ongoing product and
people still use it in Adobe AIR apps or other things. So I warned him that not have sense. Piotr,
I think just a visible section (maybe before the main menu or after it), of about 300px-400px height with a message like this: *"For those who need a frontend technology that runs in browsers without Adobe Flash Player, * *please check Apache Royale.* *Apache Flex will still be used outside browsers with desktop technologies (i.e, Adobe AIR) after December 31th, 2020."* And make "Apache Royale" link to the website.. Please correct the spelling to match the right english translation. If possible make the background green or blue and wording white with some sizing so it captures attention. Thanks El vie., 24 jul. 2020 a las 9:42, Carlos Rovira (<[hidden email]>) escribió: > Yeah, I responded Lucas that Apache Flex was still an ongoing product and > people still use it in Adobe AIR apps or other things. I think it's important to show Flex exists still, but that for web based solutions Royale should be recommended. Agreed no forward / redirect, just informational link. -Mark K On Fri, Jul 24, 2020 at 3:35 AM Christofer Dutz <[hidden email]> wrote: > > Hi Piotr, > > I'm referring to the title of the email "Apache flex site must redirect to Apache Royale " ... > > For me a redirect is forwarding ... Hi Carlos,
I have no idea where to find wiki etc. However all magic is here [1] - login by your apache credentials. If I remember correctly you don't need to run anything locally. When you push changes on the website everything is being automatically build and I think deployed here [2]. - When you decide that your website is ready for publishing you need to use button "Publish flex site" from here [1]. The reason why I'm not sure is that I haven't done any changes on website in the last 2 years - the only change which I'm doing is to that file [3] - And I'm publishing website right after push. I hope it helps. Hi Piotr,
yesterday I made a dummy change. Added an alt text to one of the slider images. Today with your instructions I enter url [1] and do a "Publish site", but seems the alt is not appearing.
